Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis) has a naturally mild, slightly sweet flavour with a distinctively smooth, mucilaginous quality when brewed. Interestingly, the original marshmallow sweet was made from extract of this root — so there is a genuine connection! A traditional European herb with a gentle, soothing character.
Packed by us at Earthfare and sourced from Organic Herb Trading. Certified organic, single herb, nothing added. Best cold or warm brewed for 10–15 minutes to release the mucilage.
