Terms and Conditions

Customers over the age of 65 who have successfully applied for a Senior Citizens card can use their Senior Citizens card when they buy goods to apply the agreed discount.

If you are an existing Senior Citizen Card holder (using the paper card), you will need to pick up your new Senior Citizens card (handing back your current card in exchange, as this will no longer be valid as we have a new system in place). You will have until the 31st August to do this.

The old paper Senior Citizens card will be invalid from 31st August and will not be accepted after this date.

You must be a UK resident, aged 65 and over and provide us with the required registration information which includes (but is not limited to) your name, a valid and used email address, Date and month of birth.  These must be kept up to date or the card and account may be cancelled.

These terms and conditions are applicable across the entire Senior Citizens scheme and any participation is considered as full acceptance.

The Senior Citizens card is issued by and remain the property of Earthfare which may, at any time, terminate the scheme or amend the conditions of operation of the scheme. In the interests of sustainability; the original card is free of charge – if you need a replacement card, there will be a £2.50 charge.

Members are only entitled to one Senior Citizens account each. Earthfare reserves the right to refuse, merge or close additional accounts at any time.

Members must register their personal details and keep Earthfare informed of any changes. Earthfare cannot be held responsible for any out of date details.

The Senior Citizens card, is not transferable, cannot be copied and can only be used by the member who is named and registered for the card. Any mis-use of this card is likely to lead to cancellation of the account.

Senior Citizens cards, remain the responsibility of the scheme member, as do any security details relating to the account. Earthfare cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the member failing to ensure the safe-keeping of these items.

Earthfare may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel Senior Citizen card accounts and / or remove a member from the scheme at any time where there is reasonable belief of any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme; any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions; any behaviour that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information.

Senior Citizens cards can only be used for purchases in store from Earthfare. They cannot be applied via website purchases.

The scheme is only for personal and consumer use. Senior Citizens cards cannot be used for any business transaction or purpose.

Senior Citizens cards are for own use only cannot be transferred, bought, sold, lent or sharedor in any way traded.

The Senior Citizens Programme is a closed one. No new members may join. Members can choose to leave the scheme at any time but will not be able to re-join.

Earthfare reserves the right to change any T & C’s at any time and without notice.

Senior Citizens must present their card at the checkout in order to receive their 10% discount for a transaction in store and the card cannot be used retrospectively after a transaction has been made.

The Senior Citizens card cannot be used in conjunction with any reduced item or item on promotion.

10% discount will only be applied when the transaction is over £15; there will be no discounts applied for transactions under this amount.
