Buckwheat's earthy, slightly bitter depth makes it one of the most interesting and satisfying alternatives to wheat pasta — and Castagno's Organic Buckwheat Fusilli shows it at its best. Made from 100% organic buckwheat flour, this naturally gluten-free fusilli has a robust, nutty flavour and a pleasingly chewy bite.

Despite its name, buckwheat isn't wheat at all — it's a seed, naturally gluten-free and notably rich in complete protein and minerals including magnesium and manganese. Castagno have been working with buckwheat in their Piemonte pasta mill for decades, and it shows in the quality of the finished pasta.
