Kukicha is made from the parts of the green tea plant that are usually discarded — the twigs and stems, roasted slowly to develop a gentle warmth and nuttiness that's completely unlike regular green tea. Almost woody, slightly sweet, and naturally very low in caffeine, it's a particularly good choice for evenings when you want something soothing rather than stimulating.
