The gentlest heat in Eaten Alive's range — and arguably the most versatile. Yellow pepper and yellow chilli form the base, with preserved lemon providing a deep, fermented citrus character that goes far beyond fresh lemon juice. Ginger, turmeric and raw cider vinegar round it out into a sauce that's bright, aromatic and warmly spiced rather than aggressively hot.
The North African preserved lemon influence gives this a culinary character you don't often see in hot sauces — it works as readily as a condiment for fish or chicken as it does in a mezze spread or stirred through yogurt as a quick dipping sauce.
Vegan. Free from seed oils. No artificial additives.
Serving suggestion: Brilliant with grilled fish, roast chicken, hummus, grain bowls, eggs or stirred through tahini for a quick dressing.
