Equinox brew their kombucha from Chun-Mee green tea — a Chinese variety chosen for its clean, mellow flavour that lets the botanicals in each blend come through clearly. The Wild Berry variety is fermented with organic hibiscus, rosehip, nettle and pineapple alongside the tea culture, creating a naturally tart, lightly sparkling drink with a deep berry-red colour and a complex floral-fruity flavour.
Kombucha fermentation produces a naturally carbonated drink rich in organic acids, B vitamins and live cultures from the SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast). Equinox keep the sugar content low by allowing a thorough fermentation, leaving only a small residual sweetness from the organic raw cane sugar used to feed the culture.
Certified organic. Vegan. Live cultures. Contains trace alcohol (under 0.5% ABV) naturally produced during fermentation.
Serving suggestion: Serve cold, straight from the can. Also works as a mixer with gin or vodka.
