Darjeeling is often called the 'champagne of teas' — its distinctive muscatel character (a floral, slightly musky flavour note) is unique to teas grown in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal and cannot be replicated elsewhere. Hampstead source their Darjeeling from biodynamic farms, applying their full suite of ethical credentials — organic, biodynamic and Fairtrade — to one of the world's most prized teas.
The biodynamic approach tends to produce particularly nuanced Darjeeling — the terroir-driven flavour of the tea is best expressed when the soil is at its most alive, and biodynamic farming focuses exactly on this. A cup of properly brewed Hampstead Darjeeling is a genuinely exceptional experience.

How to brew: Water at 90°C. Steep for 3 minutes. Best without milk — Darjeeling's muscatel character is masked by dairy.
