Description
Danish cold-pressed rapeseed oil producer called Lehnsgaard Bornholm who were established in 2003 in the small town of Aakirkeby on the apparently very pretty island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. These guys are a family farm that we’re chuffed to begin working with as they’re truly committed to their environmental credentials. Any of their residual produce is recycled to animal feed and heating and their production processes are solar powered too. There is a very small amount of certified organic rapeseed oil produced in the UK. If you didn’t know already, rapeseed crops are some of the most heavily sprayed so no one should really be going near the stuff that isn’t organic. Learning that many moons back put a whole new spin on those beautiful yellow fields that I used to gaze in wonderment at.
