Marigold Braised Vegan Tofu — crafted using a traditional Far Eastern recipe favoured by Buddhist monks for centuries. Made from 81% soya bean curd, formed on the surface of boiled soya milk and delicately folded, then braised with soya sauce and millet extract. Ready to eat hot or cold. Vegan. 14.2g of protein per 100g. Contains soya and gluten (wheat at <20ppm).
This is Yuba — the skin that forms on soya milk as it heats — folded and braised to create a tofu with a naturally rich, slightly chewy texture quite unlike pressed block tofu. The millet extract and soya sauce give a deep, savoury flavour that works brilliantly straight from the packet, sliced into stir-fries, or served cold with a dipping sauce. A genuinely different plant protein with real culinary heritage and impressive versatility.
