Rio Rosa Mosqueta source their rosehip oil from Rosa rubiginosa — the species that grows wild in the Andes of Chile, considered to produce the finest rosehip seed oil in the world. The seeds of this particular rosehip contain an exceptionally high concentration of trans-retinoic acid (the natural precursor to retinoid skin treatments), vitamin C, omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids.
Rosehip oil is one of the best-evidenced plant oils for skin regeneration — used in Chilean folk medicine for skin healing and adopted by modern dermatology for its documented effects on scar tissue, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and UV damage. The vitamin E (tocopherol) acts as a natural antioxidant to preserve the oil and support skin health simultaneously.

How to use: Apply 2–3 drops to cleansed skin and massage in gently. Best used at night — the natural colour can be slightly yellow-tinted. Can be used on face, neck, body and stretch marks. Use within 6 months of opening and keep away from direct sunlight.
