Sesame Snaps are a long-established sweet — sesame seeds bound with glucose syrup into a crispy, slightly chewy brittle that's been a health food shop staple for decades. The yoghurt version adds a coating made from yoghurt powder, vegetable fat and whey that gives a light creaminess alongside the nuttiness of the sesame.
The sesame base provides natural sesame oil richness, a good hit of calcium and protein, and the characteristic nutty flavour that makes sesame one of the most satisfying seeds to eat. The glucose syrup binding gives a pleasant chew that's distinct from hard boiled sweets or chocolate.
