Shipton Mill's organic wholemeal wheat flour is milled in Tetbury from certified organic wheat — the full grain retained for maximum fibre, nutrients and the characteristic deep, earthy flavour of genuine wholemeal. Stone milling where possible gives a flour with more character and complexity than mass-produced roller-milled alternatives.
Certified organic. Vegan. Contains wheat (gluten). Not suitable for coeliacs.
How to use: In bread (use alone or blend 50:50 with white flour for a lighter loaf), pizza bases, pasta, scones, biscuits and pastry. Wholemeal flour absorbs more liquid than white flour — recipes may need slight adjustment. Shipton Mill publish excellent recipes on their website for best results with their flour.
