Taylor & Colledge have been producing premium vanilla products in Ely, Cambridgeshire since 1897 — one of Britain's oldest and most respected vanilla houses. Their organic vanilla extract uses certified organic Bourbon vanilla pods (from Madagascar, the world's finest vanilla source) extracted in organic alcohol for a pure, intense vanilla with the full complexity of real Bourbon vanilla — over 300 flavour compounds versus the single vanillin molecule in artificial extract.

Bourbon vanilla (named after the former name of Réunion island, Île Bourbon, not the whiskey) is the most prized variety in the world — rich, creamy, slightly woody and deeply aromatic. Taylor & Colledge source their pods directly from certified organic Malagasy growers.

Certified organic. Vegan. Contains ethanol (organic alcohol).

How to use: Add to baked goods, custards, ice cream, smoothies and desserts — 1 teaspoon (5ml) per standard recipe. The organic certification means no synthetic pesticide residues on the vanilla pods.
