Weleda's sage deodorant offers a distinctive approach in the natural deodorant category — sage oil (Salvia officinalis) has been used traditionally for its natural antiperspirant properties, containing compounds that help moderate perspiration at source rather than purely masking odour. Combined with the antibacterial action of the ethanol base and ammonium glycyrrhizate (from licorice root, with anti-inflammatory properties), this is one of the most functionally targeted natural deodorants available.
The sage fragrance is herbal and clean — green and slightly medicinal rather than floral. A distinctive scent that many people find more wearable than heavily perfumed natural deodorants.
