Weleda's Hypericum & Calendula Ointment is a traditional herbal remedy combining two of the most well-established wound-care botanicals — calendula (Calendula officinalis herb tincture) and St John's Wort oil (Hypericum perforatum, Oleum hyperici) — in a protective base of refined lanolin and beeswax.

Calendula is one of the most extensively used herbs in wound healing — traditionally applied to minor cuts, grazes, chapped skin and minor burns for its soothing, protective and gentle antimicrobial properties. St John's Wort oil has a complementary traditional use in nerve-related skin conditions and wound healing.

Gluten free. Contains lanolin (from wool) and beeswax — not suitable for vegans.

How to use: Apply to clean minor wounds, grazes, chapped or dry skin and nappy rash areas. Not for application to deep wounds or infected skin — consult a healthcare professional if wounds are not healing as expected.

1g of ointment contains: 0.10 ml of tincture from Calendula officinalis L. herba (Calendula herb) (equivalent to 50 mg of Calendula herb) and 0.15 ml of tincture from Hypericum perforatum L. herba (St John's Wort herb) (equivalent to 50 mg of St John's Wort herb). Extraction solvent for both tinctures: Ethanol 86 % w/w. Other ingredients are Wool Fat (Lanolin) Sunflower Oil Olive Oil Yellow Beeswax Ethanol and Purified Water
